Western Lineage recently joined an elite group of Paint
broodmares when she became only the fourth mare to surpass $500,000 in
offspring earnings on the racetrack. A 1997 sorrel overo mare by Judys Lineage and out of Western
Swing, Western Lineage was bred and is owned by Ronald Yates of Fort Smith,
Arkansas—Ronald owned and ran her dam, Western Swing, as well. Western Lineage
earned a little more than $9,000 in nine starts.
